Despite the names given to the roles, the "straight man" need not necessarily be humorless, and it is not always the comic who provides the act's humor. Sometimes, it is the straight man who gets the laughs through his or her sarcastic reactions to the comic's antics.....Once again I suspect I must play the straight man to Niamh's foil....
It's a tough job but someones got to do it :)

I'd take the straight man role any day of the week - intelligent, reasonable and sarcastic.
It may be a tough job, but when you are good at it you might as well keep with it...
Enjoy Christmas in Dunedin. I have fond memories of there - well of seeing albatrosses and yellow-eye penguins out on the peninsula anyway. Far better than the steepest street in the world or whatever record it held. Some day I will get back there.
